Oracle Database Administrator


FORFIRM is an IT consultancy company which operates with the intention to create innovative proposals for enterprises through passion and a pluriannual experience. In order to expand our development team we are looking for the following profile:

Oracle Database Administrator

The successful candidate will join our infrastructure team tasked with supporting the internal database environment. You will be involved with a healthy mix of project and maintenance tasks of production, development databases.

Essential Skills / Experiences / Attributes:

  • Commercial experience with Oracle SQL installation, patching, upgrade, anomaly verification
  • An understanding of Oracle databases and a familiarity with creating schema objects, admin, security, change control and troubleshooting
  • Ideally, hold an Oracle/Microsoft related certification/qualification
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Appliance (ODA)
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle DB (10gR2, 11gR1, 11gR2, 12c)
  • Excellent VMWare virtual machine knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Oracle tools: AWR, ASH and ADDM
  • Competence and operational independence in troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data and performance related issues quickly and efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Availability to transfer throughout Europe
